The Origin
Richard Burke built these tools because he needed them. Not as a startup. Not with a pitch deck. Not after a Series A. He built them the way a retail trader with 40 years of IT experience and a functioning bullshit detector actually solves problems — by noticing that the data he needed existed, was public, and nobody had bothered to make it useful for people who don't have a Bloomberg terminal and a six-figure research budget.
That's the whole origin story. No pivot. No vision statement.
Who Built This
Richard is a Gen X IT consultant who has spent four decades in the trenches — back when "the cloud" was just a weather report and you actually had to know what you were doing to ship software. He's worked across the full stack of enterprise IT long enough to remember when "agile" wasn't a buzzword, it was just Tuesday. He has also, not metaphorically, dived with sharks for NASA. His operating doctrine — what he calls Guerilla Rinzai — is what happens when you combine the no-resources discipline of guerilla warfare with the zero-ceremony directness of Rinzai Zen. No drift. StonkWhisper aggregates data from multiple official, publicly available sources and processes it through a proprietary intelligence pipeline:
Data Sourcing
All data originates from official public sources: SEC EDGAR (13F filings for institutional holdings, Form 4 for insider trades), FINRA ATS (dark pool volume transparency data), Reddit API (WallStreetBets, r/stocks, r/investing, r/SecurityAnalysis), StockTwits API (social sentiment), and official congressional financial disclosure filings (STOCK Act).
NLP Sentiment Pipeline
Social media posts and comments are processed through a multi-stage NLP pipeline that extracts ticker mentions, classifies sentiment polarity (bullish/bearish/neutral), scores conviction strength, and filters out noise (memes, spam, bot activity). The pipeline processes thousands of data points per cycle across all monitored communities.
The Whisper Index
The proprietary Whisper Index algorithm distills all processed sentiment data into a single 0-100 conviction score per ticker. The score weights mention volume, sentiment polarity, author credibility (account age, karma, posting history), community source, and temporal momentum. It is not a price prediction — it is a measure of retail crowd conviction at a given moment.
Convergence Analysis
StonkWhisper cross-references signals across data feeds. When unusual options flow aligns with insider buying on Form 4, congressional accumulation, or dark pool volume spikes for the same ticker, the convergence score increases — highlighting situations where multiple independent signals point in the same direction.

All data from official public sources. SEC EDGAR, FINRA ATS transparency reports, and official congressional financial disclosure filings are government-mandated public records. Reddit and StockTwits data is publicly posted content.

No conflicts of interest. Guerilla Finance Inc. does not trade on the data it presents, does not accept payment for ticker placement or ranking, and does not sell user data. The platform has no advertising revenue that could influence content presentation.
